Rules
How a proof turns into HYPE.
How it works
Challenge
The server issues a random challenge tied to your wallet and the open window.
Hash
Your browser searches for a nonce whose SHA-256 meets the difficulty.
Verify
The server recomputes every proof and credits the ones it accepts.
Settle
When a window closes, its pool is split by credited work, with each wallet held to its cap.
Mining is free and only needs your address: no signature, no transaction. You need to hold $HYPERFORGE. Faster hardware does more verified work; it doesn't change the size of the pool.
Bands
Your tab mines for one of four bands: Ember, Anvil, Quench or Temper. Pick one on Mine. A switch applies at once. In each window you count for the band you did most of your work for.
The band with the highest score takes the window. Its score is its work times its drought boost. The boost starts at 1x, gains 0.15x for every window the band goes without a win, tops out at 4x and resets when the band wins.
Each paying window splits its pool into base pay (70%, shared by every miner by work) and spoils (30%, shared by the winning band's miners by work). Your cap still limits what you can take. The settled record shows the final split.
The algorithm
A 32-byte challenge ID, your 32-byte wallet key and an 8-byte big-endian nonce. A proof one bit harder counts twice as much. Difficulty is set per challenge from your hash rate so a proof lands about every 15 s, between 24 and 48 bits. Until a window settles, what you see is an estimate.
Payouts
at 0.01 HYPECredit settles into your pending balance when each window closes. Once it passes 0.01 HYPE it's sent from the reward wallet automatically; you never claim it. Every transfer is listed on Earnings and the Ledger.
Shares. Your verified work, your band's result and your cap set your share. Anything over a cap is shared by work among the wallets still under theirs; what nobody can take stays in the reward wallet. Your share of the open window is an estimate and shifts as other miners join.
When the pool can't pay. A window pays only what the reward wallet can cover. If it can't, the window opens as a funding window: proofs still count on the leaderboard, but nothing accrues. Existing balances and settled credit don't change.
Hold to mine
cap up to 5%Mining needs one hold unit of $HYPERFORGE: 0.05% of supply. Each unit adds 1% to your cap per window, up to 5%. The cap is the largest share of a window's pool one wallet can take. A holding counts after three agreeing balance reads at least 30 s apart, which takes about a minute and a half. Holding doesn't change hashing speed or the size of the pool.

Where the HYPE comes from
pump.fun pays the coin's creator fees to the creator wallet. Every claim is split: 70% is swapped to HYPE for the reward wallet that pays miners, 15% buys back and burns $HYPERFORGE, and 15% covers infrastructure. Each step is an on-chain transaction listed on the Ledger. A window's pool follows the fee rate of the last 60 minutes, up to 1 HYPE; below 0.001 HYPE it's a funding window.
What gets rejected
| duplicate | Same challenge, wallet and nonce already submitted |
| expired | Received after the challenge expired |
| wrong wallet | The hash input uses a different public key than the submitter |
| below target | The hash doesn't meet the difficulty |
| unknown challenge | The server never issued that challenge ID |
| challenge full | Twelve proofs on one challenge; the miner asks for a new, harder one |
| hash mismatch | The hash differs from the one the server recomputes |
| window closed | Arrived after its window closed |
| not holding | The wallet fell below one hold unit after the challenge was issued |
| holding unknown | The wallet's last balance read failed; it can't earn credit until a new read succeeds |
| malformed | A field is missing or not in the published format |
